Shannon was appointed into the Eldership in February 2003. Though he never attended Seminary, his training came in the school of personal meditation and prayer over the scriptures. The Holy Spirit deserves the glory for energizing his study of the scriptures concerning the person and work of Jesus Christ. He learned the grace of submitting to older wiser Pastors in his formative days and eventually found opportunity to fill a calling to the ministry within Grace Assembly.
He enjoys counseling, administration, and watching believers grow in knowledge and zeal for Christ. He and his wife Danelle have seven children, he enjoys family time, is an avid sports fan, participates in singing and hospitality with the body of Christ.
Lou is honored to serve as an Elder at Grace Assembly. He also is Co-Director of African Ministries and Director of Itinerary for Advancing Native Missions in Charlottesville, VA. He is an online professor for Colorado Christian University teaching New Testament, Old Testament and Spiritual Formation.
He has helped to plant and pastor two churches in New York and Pennsylvania, authored two books, and has traveled to 14 countries and 5 continents to preach and teach. Lou and his wife Iris have four children and two grandchildren. He loves discussing practical theology over good coffee, watching old movies and college football.
