Dan Maddy
Elder
Dan and his wife, Becky, are natives of Franklin County, Virginia where Dan served as a deacon at Trinity Reformed Baptist Church in Boones Mill, VA for 25 years before moving to Altavista in 2018. He attended Columbia International University before graduating from Covenant College on Lookout Mountain, Georgia with a degree in Biblical studies with minors in business and education.
Dan and Becky have been blessed with four children and five grandchildren. Their oldest daughter, Anna, who has Down syndrome continues to live with and bless them in their home.
Dan enjoys golf, hunting, and spending time with the grandkids.
His desire is to be a faithful shepherd to the Lord’s people at Grace Assembly by ministering the Word and helping with the spiritual needs of the body of Christ thru prayer, hospitality, and counsel.
Justin Wilson

Justin served 9 years in the Army Infantry and served in Iraq with the 1st Armored Division out of Germany. After the military, he pursued Pastoral Studies in Bible College and a degree in Biblical & Theological Studies. He is a husband to Lindsay and the father of twin girls. He has been a Contracts Administrator at Liberty University since 2018. He not only has a passion to teach the word of God but desires to walk with believers as they grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. He and his wife love opening their home to people in order to show Christ’s love on a practical level. He enjoys reading and discussing theology, drawing, and watching a good movie.

Peter Fendrich

Peter was born and raised in Indiana, where he first developed a love for community and the joy of church life. He went on to study Education at Bryan College, nurturing a passion for teaching, formation, and helping others grow. After college, Peter spent several years working in hospitality in Northern Virginia and later in Lynchburg, experiences that deepened his commitment to welcoming others with warmth, generosity, and care. He is grateful for every opportunity to foster fellowship, build relationships, and serve the church he loves.  Peter first became a member of Grace in 2014, and has served in the role of pastor since 2023.  He continues to take deep joy in hosting gatherings at his house, providing mental health services, and gathering with the body on Sundays, and hopes to fellowship with you there.

Steve Packer
Deacon

Email Steve

Steve was installed as a deacon in May 2010.  Steve and his wife, Robin, have six children.  The Packers moved from NE Ohio to Goode in 2004 and started attending Grace Assembly immediately.  Ask him how they found Grace Assembly sometime.  Steve gravitates to organizing roles such as church budget / finances and Sunday School scheduling.  Steve is the prime benefactor of Robin’s gift of hospitality to the body of Christ.

Gary Trittipoe

Gary was raised in a strong Christian home and came to faith at the age of 10. In addition to serving at Grace Assembly as a deacon he has served in various other churches as an adult teacher. Gary is employed by New Covenant Schools as the Facilities Manager. He and his wife Rebekah have been married since 1977 and have two grown sons. His hobbies include hunting and managing property for hunting.

Josh Geisler

Josh was appointed as a deacon in June 2015, but has been with Grace Assembly since 2004.  He loves serving the Lord and the body of Christ, and encouraging others likewise. He enjoys reading about the attributes of God and finding ways to give to others.  He has been married to his lovely wife, Meghan, since 2006, and has four kids, Owen, Joy, Maggie, and Bella.   You will most likely find him playing with his kids, taking walks with the family, or preparing tax returns.
